bits and pieces...

I've been on depressed mode these days... really really dark! I find myself sulking when I'm awake and fighting off the pull off the bed for me to sleep all day. Total sign of depression! So to pick up the pieces, I do what lifts me up best... READ!

As soon as I was done with all my errands, I rushed off to Powerbooks. I originally planned on picking up a couple of books for my new business ventures. But instead, I ended up opting for a dose of positive psychology. I've realized that sulked enough and it's time for me to perk up and feel the sunshine on my face (barring any wrinkle-causing UV's! Teehee!). I've picked up 2 books, here...

The first one is What on Earth Have I Done? by Robert Fulghum. What made me pick this book up? For starters, it's by Mr. Fulghum himslef. He's been a favorite of mine since his All I Need to Know days. Another is that I haven't read anything by him for the longest time. I leafed through some of the pages and a caption caught my attention. More on that after I've read the book. Then. I'll mince it thereafter.

The sencond book is Healing edited by J. Pincott. Now, why this? Because of what it is about... healing.

I'll leaf through both and get back on how it unfolds.

I also saw 2 more books that I will definitely save up for...

Back to my day's unfolding... As I was to pay for my loot, I saw this month's Good Housekeeping. And this header struck me...

Could this really be? I'll try to scan it and mince it up for a review.

tell the world of His love

Meditating and looking back at my life now, i remembered WYD '95. I remember this with somewhat a bittersweet taste. It definitely is one of the most memorable experiences in my life, if not THE. Yeah, yeah, more than my wedding! But it also came at the time when my life was at one of those rock-bottom phases.

I had to commute from QC to Makati everyday even before the sun rose. Then from there we'd be shuttled to Don Bosco Makati for the activities then to Luneta. And after a long day of talking, praying and singing 'Tell the World of His Love', I had to hitch and/or commute a long way back home. But never did I complain. At least for that whole week!

I was assigned to a group where most of the RA Thailand representatives were assigned to. It was great! I distinctly remember how dumbfounded I was that each one of them had such loooong names it dragged from end to end of the paper just to write it down.

And now, remembering the chant "John Paul II, we love you!" suddenly gave me goosebumps and tears began prickling my eyes. Ahhh... those were the days!
