O my goodness! I just saw the full preview of the Philippine version of the Korean drama My Girl and it's horrible! Totally murdered the series. I know I have the penchant for disliking Korean drama remakes (such as the Kim Sam Soon - Pinoy version, which I have yet to rant about since I haven't seen the trailer... and that's for another post), but this ABS-CBN project is proof why I do harbor such perspective! I'm not such a fan of this series but am a major one of Korean drama as a whole. This just makes me shiver... and not in a good way. Kim Chiu, who plays Joo Yu-rin, was majorly over acting. I must admit that Lee Da-hae was quite annoying at first with her not too pleasant performance. But this is on a totally different irritating level. And get this, the guy who plays Seol Gong Chan, as I've noticed in the official poster, even posed just like Lee Dong-wook. Total carbon copy! And just with any Philippine primetime drama, the storyline is bound to get really eeky, squicky, ooey, gooey! Aish! I'm soooo blustering about this! Aish!
